The East Europe Foundation works with the OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Telenor Representative Office in Ukraine to promote grassroots energy efficiency initiatives in cities and towns across the country.

 

As energy costs rise, net energy importers like Ukraine are highly motivated to reduce energy expenditures. However, organizations like the World Bank, EBRD, USAID and UNDO address this challenge with major programs designed to improve energy infrastructure, to make the production, delivery and consumption of energy more efficient. But cities do not have to wait for their advancements—they can, and should take steps to reduce energy consumption now with programs like the East Europe Foundation’s Municipal Partnerships for Energy Efficiency.
